What I'm Loving Wednesday

My oh my have I been a busy girl this week! Between ending one class, starting another, birthdays, weddings,  shopping for weddings, and catching up with my favorite ladies life has been pretty chaotic!

Speaking of weddings, I have been having a terrible time finding a cute dress to wear to the wedding I'm going to on Friday! I spent THREE HOURS at the Mall of America on Monday and returned with NADA! Well, I actually bought two cute tops, but no dress. UGH! Everything I tried on was floral and made me look like a grandma. So, I decided to wear a black dress I  already have (boring!) and jazz it up with some turquoise jewelry. I bought these pretties on the cheap from Charlotte Russe:

 

I'm thinking I'm going to put a red clutch with this outfit.

At first, I wasn't sure about the color combo- I don't want to look like a clown! But, I did a little research a la the internet and I have fallen in love! That leads me to what I'm loving today. Look at how pretty turquoise and red are together... 

 Absolutely gorgeous! I'm addicted.

Pajamas & ponytails and other weekend shenanigans

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was good and expensive, but I'll get to that later...

So basically, my sister is my best friend- we should have been twins but she didn't get the memo and was approximately 21 months late. We're both in school right now, and I never get to see her anymore which makes me very sad. I was excited when she made room for me in her very busy schedule on Friday for a "Pajamas and Ponytails" coffee date. The rule is, neither of us can "look cute". We roll out of bed and into Starbucks, who by the way brought back their coconut syrup *insert angelic choir*. Anyways, it was so nice to have some sister time-even if it was in pajamas and ponytails...

Apparently this weekend I decided I had money to burn (what money?). As I've mentioned, I'm in grad school and have the summer off, so naturally I should be buying Tiffany bracelets and Coach purses, right? WRONG! But I did anyways! I don't know what is wrong with me- shopping addiction? Addicted to financial stress? Addicted to fabulous things?

This first purchase is slightly more justifiable than the second one... My boyfriend got me this bracelet for Christmas a few years ago, and I lost it a few months afterward. That thought still makes me sick. Anyways, I have been watching Ebay and other sites since then and no one was selling it. I decided to just replace it, and apparently this weekend was the time to do that. Why? I'm not sure.

 After my little jewelry purchase on Saturday, I found myself browsing Coach purses on Craigslist. Again, what is wrong with me? I found one that I loved and contacted the seller (it was a good deal, afterall). So, today I went and picked up my ivory Leah Tote. Here she is:

So here I sit, wearing my new bracelet, sitting next to my new tote and am over $200 poorer. Am I alone in the shopping addiction stuff? Aye Aye Aye...

What I'm listening to

Ok, so I have to share an artist with you that I may or may not have discovered while watching a re-run of The Hills. Dont judge! Her name is Jess Penner, and I am loving her! She's an Indie Pop singer from L.A. and her music is beautiful and happy and I can't stop listening to her. Her voice is amazing and her songs just put me in a good mood. This one is my favorite so far:

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Ladies, do yourselves a favor and go buy the Too Faced Naked Eye Palette! This is the best eye shadow I have come across, and is well worth the $36. It gives you a flawless/beautiful shimmery look, and comes with tips on application. You can thank me later...

While you're at Sephora picking up your Too Faced Naked Eye Palette, you should also probably pick up Indelible Wink liquid eyeliner by Tarte. This is the best liquid eyeliner I have found! What makes it super fabulous is the magic eraser/smudger on the top that blends and erases any mishaps that may have occurred.  GET IT!

 

I am LOVING Jennifer Aniston's new shorter hair. I am asking for this when I get my hair did next week. So adorable!

I'm loving chic maxi dresses for the summer- especially the one Ms. Klum is rocking below! Gorgeous!

I'm really loving polka dots recently. There is something so cute, retro and feminine about them. Love!

I'm loving these earrings! They are so pretty and fun! I have these in pink and turquoise and get lots of compliments on them.
